For us, it is worth at least one visit every time we stay at Lake Tegernsee: delicious dishes, appropriate portions at reasonable prices. Large and varied selection of drinks, very cozy corners and niches and outside on the terrace under the (new) awning with the radiant heaters, even in late autumn, still very nice. Greetings to Armin & the attentive crew!

Went here to eat with my wife and daughter. We sat very nicely on the terrace. The food was very good. The service was very friendly and attentive. All in all, we had a very nice evening.

Roast pork and Kaiserschmarrn were delicious! Service was very friendly and quick.

Underground! First of all: the food was good, everything else was a disaster! We were there for lunch a good two weeks ago with friends from Munich and our four children. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were "welcomed" by a very unfriendly waiter (owner?), Who told us in passing that there was only space for 8 people outside (rain!). He didn't wait for our answer, walked on and then didn't even pay any attention to us. If it hadn't been raining like buckets and the children hadn't been very hungry, we would have gone here again. So we decided on the covered outdoor space. As soon as this was taken, 2 large tables became vacant. We asked in a friendly manner whether we could change tables now. This was first ignored twice and then annoyed approved on the third attempt. Taking orders, bringing drinks and food - everything was extremely unfriendly, almost sluggish! Even if the food was ok and the rest of the service staff were friendly, we felt very uncomfortable there. Cordiality Wrong place and the said waiter behaved our entire stay like an inflated owl. We actually thought it couldn't be topped, but in the end we were taught better. Our little son was obviously too loud for him and so he suddenly yelled at him with the words: Shut up now! I've never seen anything like it. Not only we, but also the other guests were horrified. Simply unbelievable! Maybe the man has personal problems or was completely overwhelmed, but something like that just doesn't work. Therefore, we would definitely not recommend the Postillion with children. Never again!

After I was thrilled last year, I became a regular guest there again this year in Rottach-Egern. My conclusion is: great food, a nice and cozy ambience and a great and courteous service. There you can experience hospitality that you rarely find 👌 This year I have recommended it to some friends and I have only received positive feedback from them. Everyone felt comfortable and were very satisfied with the quality.

We have enjoyed stopping here for years on our way to the Zillertal. Food consistently delicious and freshly cooked (open kitchen). Alternating seasonal specials on the board. Great ambience. Very courteous service. Our whole family was very enthusiastic.

The atmosphere is really great and the service very, very nice. Although the restaurant was full and we didn't have a reservation, space was made especially for us. The prices are reasonable, for the food being so good! Especially the roast pork, the Kaiserschmarren and the schnitzel are recommended!

Excellent friendly service, most delicious food served well presented. Obviously the chef loves cooking and that shines through the food. The restaurant is modern stylish with a rustic touch. Have been there, 3 times and each time the standard of them food and service were very high. Would definitely recommend it.
